Shipping Methods & Carriers

Depending on the container size, delivery location, and site access requirements, we use one of the following methods:

HIAB Crane Delivery

• The most common delivery method for shipping containers.

• Containers are transported on a HIAB-equipped lorry fitted with a mounted crane.

• The container is unloaded and positioned directly onto your prepared ground-level site.

Flatbed Trailer Delivery

• Suitable for locations with sufficient unloading equipment available on-site.

• The customer may be responsible for arranging unloading equipment where required.

Approved Logistics Partners

We work with experienced UK and European container transport providers specializing in:

• HIAB transport services

• Flatbed haulage services

• Heavy goods vehicle (HGV) logistics

The carrier used will depend on your delivery location and container specifications.

Store Pickup

Customers who prefer to collect their order may choose Store Pickup by prior appointment.

Shipping Costs

We offer a simple flat-rate delivery fee:

£200 Flat Rate

This shipping charge applies to most mainland UK deliveries.

Additional delivery charges may apply for:

• Remote locations

• Islands and offshore areas

• Restricted-access sites

• Special lifting requirements

• European deliveries

Any additional charges will be communicated and approved before dispatch.

Order Processing Time

After payment has been received and verified, orders are typically processed within:

6–10 business days

Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will begin processing on the next business day.

Delivery Timeframes

Estimated delivery times are:

• Mainland UK: 5–10 business days after dispatch

• Remote or restricted-access locations: Up to 15 business days

• European destinations: Delivery times vary by country and will be confirmed before dispatch

Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by weather conditions, traffic, site accessibility, or other circumstances beyond our control.

Delivery Requirements

To ensure a successful delivery, customers must:

• Provide accurate delivery information.

• Ensure sufficient access for delivery vehicles.

• Ensure the delivery site is level, stable, and suitable for container placement.

• Be present or arrange a representative to accept delivery when required.

Our logistics team will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date and time.

Shipping Restrictions

For safety and operational reasons, we may be unable to deliver to locations that:

• Have insufficient vehicle access.

• Contain low bridges, overhead cables, trees, or other obstructions.

• Have unstable, sloped, or unsafe ground conditions.

• Require specialist lifting equipment not disclosed before purchase.

• Are located in areas with legal or transportation restrictions for oversized loads.

If access restrictions are identified before delivery, we will work with you to find a suitable solution whenever possible.

Damaged Deliveries

Please inspect your container upon delivery.

If your order arrives damaged, notify us within 48 hours of delivery by emailing:

• A description of the damage

• Photographs of the container and any affected areas

We will investigate the issue and work with you to resolve it as quickly as possible.

Incorrect Delivery Address

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.

Shipping Containers UK Limited is not responsible for delays, failed deliveries, or additional costs resulting from incorrect or incomplete delivery information supplied by the customer.
