Shipping Containers UK Limited supplies new and used shipping containers, including 20ft containers, 40ft containers, high cube containers, flat-pack containers, storage containers and specialist container solutions.

We serve customers across the United Kingdom and selected European destinations, subject to product availability, delivery arrangements and applicable restrictions.

By placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before purchasing.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits your statutory consumer rights.

2. Website Use

New and Used Container Conditions

New containers may have minor marks resulting from manufacturing, handling or transportation.

Used containers may show signs of previous use, including scratches, dents, surface rust, repairs or cosmetic wear consistent with their stated condition.

Product photographs may be representative unless a specific container is identified.

Any material differences in condition, specifications or availability will be communicated before the order is accepted.

All products are subject to availability.

4. Pricing and VAT

All product prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (£ GBP).

Applicable VAT, delivery charges and any additional costs will be clearly identified before customers complete payment.

Where prices are displayed excluding VAT, this will be clearly stated. Consumer-facing prices will be presented in accordance with applicable UK pricing requirements.

We reserve the right to correct genuine pricing errors before accepting an order.

If a pricing error is discovered after an order has been submitted, we will notify the customer and offer the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

We will not impose additional charges without the customer’s agreement.

7. Shipping and Delivery

We provide shipping container delivery throughout eligible locations in the United Kingdom and selected European destinations.

Delivery arrangements depend on the container size, quantity, delivery address and site accessibility.

7.1 Standard Shipping Charges

Our standard delivery charge is £200 per container for eligible mainland UK destinations.

Additional delivery charges may apply for remote destinations, offshore areas, restricted-access locations, specialist lifting requirements and international deliveries.

7.2 Order Processing Time

Orders are normally processed within 6–10 business days after payment confirmation, subject to stock availability and delivery arrangements.

Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding applicable public holidays.

7.3 Estimated Delivery Times

These estimates include normal order processing and transportation.

HIAB crane-equipped vehicles.
Flatbed trailers.

7.5 Customer Delivery Responsibilities

Customers must ensure:

Delivery vehicles have sufficient access.
The delivery site is stable, level and suitable for unloading.
Overhead obstructions and access restrictions are disclosed.
Required permissions and unloading arrangements are available.
An authorised representative is present where necessary.

Additional charges arising from customer-requested changes or inaccurate access information will be explained and agreed before they are incurred.

8. Returns, Refunds and Exchanges

We accept eligible returns for defective and non-defective products under our published Refund & Return Policy.

8.1 Standard Return Period

Customers may request an eligible standard return within 15 calendar days of delivery or collection.

To qualify for a discretionary return:

The product must be in substantially the same condition as supplied.
Reasonable inspection is permitted.
Proof of purchase must be provided.
Significant customer-caused damage or modifications may affect eligibility.

These conditions do not restrict statutory consumer rights.

8.2 Statutory Cancellation Rights

Consumers purchasing eligible goods online generally have a statutory 14-day cancellation period beginning the day after delivery.

Our 15-day standard return window does not reduce these statutory rights.

8.4 Exchanges

Exchanges may be available for:

9. Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Products

If a product is damaged, defective, misdescribed or incorrectly supplied, please notify us as soon as reasonably possible through our website’s Contact Us page.

Customers may be asked to provide an order number, description of the issue and supporting photographs where available.

We may offer repair, replacement, exchange or refund as appropriate under applicable UK consumer law.

Reporting visible delivery damage within 48 hours is recommended to assist investigations, but this is not a condition that removes statutory rights.

10. Custom Orders and Modifications

We may provide container modification services, including:

Insulation.

Custom paint finishes.
Other agreed alterations.

Custom work may involve additional costs and production times, which will be confirmed before acceptance.

Where a product is genuinely personalised or made to the customer’s specifications, statutory cancellation rights may not apply.

This does not affect legal remedies for faulty, misdescribed or incorrectly supplied products.

11. Ownership and Risk

Ownership of purchased products normally transfers to the customer once full payment has been received, subject to any different arrangement expressly agreed in writing.

For consumer purchases, risk of loss or damage generally passes when the customer, or a person nominated by the customer other than the carrier, takes physical possession of the goods, subject to applicable law.

Business-to-business arrangements may be subject to separately agreed delivery and risk-transfer terms.

12. Intellectual Property

Website content, including product descriptions, graphics, photographs, logos, branding and website design, is owned by Shipping Containers UK Limited or used under appropriate permission, unless otherwise stated.
